"From the notorious nightlife of the 1920’s Shanghai Sheba rolls into town, bringing you a wild ride full of sizzling, rollicking wicked delights.

The audience is invited to come dressed in 1920’s finery, and along the way Sheba provokes them to sing shout, charleston and have delirious speakeasy experience – no one is safe!

Sheba brings a smorgasbord of music from Josephine Baker, Marlene Dietrich, Cole Porter, Jazzified pop songs and songs from her self-penned album including​ ​ ​“Paekakariki.”

Originally from Wellington, Sheba studied Jazz in Switzerland and went on to perform in places such as Berlin, Tokyo and Brazil.

She is well known for Jazz on a Sunday series of shows. She

p​erformed a tribute to Josephine Baker in the Wellington Fringe Festival​ ​and h​er show at the Auckland Town Hall sold out to rave reviews.

Her charm, wit soul and glamorous costumes have given her sell out festival success.

Shanghai Sheba was originally a book she wrote about her life as a cabaret singer in Shanghai’s wild nights. She read it for National Radio.
