Wellington-born cabaret provocateur Sheba Williams bedazzles in a show packed with glamour, high energy and audience immersion, as she brings to life the music and story of the legendary High Priestess of Soul: Nina Simone with classic songs such as Sinnerman, I Put a Spell on You and My Baby Just Cares For Me.
Sheba Williams is known for her spectacular live performances which are a heady mix of shimmering costumes, audience participation and spontaneous humour.

Daughter of Guyanese storyteller Mona Williams, Sheba cut her teeth performing in Wellington and Auckland’s music scenes, before performing around the world in places such as Taiwan, Berlin, and Shanghai, before settling in Sydney where she is a fixture on the live music scene. Sheba is also known for her book Shanghai Sheba & The China Monologues which she read for National Radio, about her time as a cabaret singer in Shanghai. “Great performer, great artist with a powerful persona.” – National Radio.
Her electro version of Simone’s Seeline Woman, Sheba produced the video herself, incorporating footage from her favourite New Zealand artist: Len Lye.
